In Catalonia, an architectonic technique, which involves engraving a design on top of various layers of coloured plaster, was used to provide a means of decoration resistant to the traditionally harsh elements. It provided us with skilled craftsmen in what is now an almost forgotten art and of which we have on display some examples from the beginning of the 18th century.
